October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is an international health campaign created by breast cancer charities and the like, that helps increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research. Every October, organizations, business and the like offer information and support to those affected by breast cancer. If you are looking for ways to participate in Breast Cancer Awareness month, there many things one can do. And not just in October.
Here are a couple that we support and are dear to our hearts:

Pantene Beautiful Lengths Campaign
Beautiful lengths campaign is set up for people to either donate 8 inches of hair or $8, to create wigs for breast cancer patients. Every donation helps create wigs that are free through American Cancer Society. For more information, visit Pantene Beautiful Lengths main page.
Get Walking – Or Running
There are dozens of walks and runs, sponsored by places like the Susan G Komen organization, that offer ways for people to help by racing or walking for a cure. Here are few websites that have various walks and runs coming up that you can participate in. Many of these places have events in other months too.
